Little Red Riding Hood

I have written the story of little Red Riding hood and I have used describing words. I have tried to use a hook, a simile, onomatopoeia to make my story interesting.It was easy. I think I will use more onomatopoeias.

Once upon a time there lived Little Red Riding hood and her very nice mother. They lived near a deep, dark, curious wood.Little Red Riding hood loved her Grandmother who lived on the other side of the deep, dark wood.Little Red Riding hood’s mother said “give this food to Grandma’’.  The wolf tricked little Red Riding hood.  The wolf locked grandmother in a cupboard. The wolf was disguised as grandmother.  Little Red Riding hood said these things “oh grandmother what big eyes you have”.  “All the better to hear you with my dear” said the wolf.  “Oh grandmother what big teeth you have”.’’All the better to eat you with my dear”.   Then little Red Riding hood yelled HELP!! Then a woodcutter saw the wolf and the wolf saw the woodcutter and when he saw the woodcutter he ran away.  The woodcutter, little Red Riding hood,grandmother and little Red Riding hood’s mother lived  happily every after because they never saw the wolf again.

It was easy to compare the Tauranga Port and the Auckland Port. I have written about the Auckland Port. Next time I will try to use all the important port words.

I was able to make an inference about my story. It was easy because I had read the story slowly to find the information and the clues like the knocked over powder.

Splitting Numbers to Subtract

My Reflection

I have been learning to split numbers to help me subtract.  I found this a bit tricky because I got a bit confused with the jumping to the tens and then the ones.  My next step is to keep practising this strategy.

I can skip count in 2 and I am getting fast at remembering the timetables for 2 times.

Subtracton

It was a easy because I knew what to do a bit.  I split the 7 into 3 and 4. I could try higher numbers liken 53-17.

I saw them  go in a plane to Wellington.

At  the big  airport before mummy and daddy left me and Lucy watched mummy and daddy go. We got ready to go to Nana and Poppas .  Me and Lucy sadly said ''We don't want you to go''.  But I enjoyed  packing up .  We saw them go on a plane to Wellington.  Bye,bye mum and dad!  They kissed us ''good bye'' and me and Lucy wanted to cry.  Mum and dad took their luggage into the big airport.  They were gone for three days.

Reflection
I made a plan first to help me think of a story. It was easy because I know what I was going to write.     I use the ideas in my story.  It worked well so I am going to do again.
